ATTENTION: FLORIDA DEER HUNTERS, THIS IS A NEW REQUIREMENT OF FLORIDA FWC FOR HUNTING SEASONS 2019-2020

Complying with Harvest Reporting Requirements
Beginning this (2019-2020) hunting season, all hunters (including those under 16 years of age, resident hunters 65 years old and older, military personnel on leave for 30 days or less, and those hunting on their homestead in their county of residence*) must (Step 1) log their harvested deer prior to moving it from the point where the hunter located the harvested deer, and (Step 2) report the harvested deer within 24 hours.**
These steps can be completed using one of the following options:Option 1 – FWC Deer Harvest Reporting App – Hunters can both log and report (Steps 1 and 2) on an app-enabled mobile device using the FWC Deer Harvest Reporting App.Complete all 3 steps below to install the FWC Deer Harvest Reporting App:
Step 1 – Search for “Survey123 for ArcGIS” on your mobile device in the Apple App StoreGoogle Play Store, or Amazon AppStore.
Step 2 – Download and install Survey123. Do not try to sign in or create an account. No login information is needed to use the App. If the App opens automatically, you will need to accept all of the permissions and then close Survey123.
Step 3 – Add the “Florida Deer Harvest Reporting Form” into the Survey123 App by clicking this link https://arcg.is/1amSva.You will then be able to see the harvest reporting form within the Survey123 App.Then, get step-by-step instructions for using the app.Learn more about how to find, download, and install the app.
Option 2 – Paper Deer Harvest Log and Follow-Up Reporting – Hunters can log (Step 1) on a paper deer harvest log. Download an FWC-provided deer harvest log. Hunters then have up to 24 hours** to complete the reporting (Step 2) by:
  • Calling the toll-free Deer Harvest Reporting Hotline at 844-392-DEER (3337) between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. ET, (at peak times you may hear a recording that indicates operators are busy and to try again later), or
  • Using the FWC Deer Harvest Reporting App (see details in Option 1)
Confirmation Number: Upon providing required information during the harvest reporting process using either the FWC Deer Harvest Reporting App or the Deer Harvest Reporting Hotline, hunters will receive a confirmation number. If using the FWC Deer Harvest Reporting App, the confirmation number is not valid until the harvest record appears in the “Sent” folder, indicating the submission was successful. If using a paper deer harvest log, the confirmation number must be recorded on the harvest log.    Hunters exempt from license requirements who do not have an FWC customer ID number (CID) can obtain one by visiting GoOutdoorsFlorida.com before the season begins and clicking “Create Customer Account.”**Hunters must report harvested deer: 1) within 24 hours of harvest, or 2) prior to final processing of the deer, or 3) prior to the deer or any parts of the deer being transferred to a meat processor or taxidermist, or 4) prior to the deer leaving the state, whichever occurs first.
